Justin Tuck will sign a one-day contract and officially retire as a Giant on Friday, according to sources. The two-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement several weeks ago after two seasons in Oakland. He's a surefire Giants Ring of Honor inductee.

In his loss, Severino allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits, two of which were Mark Trumbo homers, in six innings. Severino's batting average against (.333) is the third worst in baseball. Still, Girardi is encouraged. "I think he is closer," Girardi said.
