Yankees fans understandably are starting to get restless with Mark Teixeira. Teixeira entered Tuesday with a .193 average, three homers and 12 RBIs. Teixeira is 0-for- 3 with three strikeouts. He has now struck out 47 times in 150 at-bats. Teixeira said the other day he is the type of guy who can carry a team. Right now, he is dragging the Yankees down. The fans are beginning to boo.

Nathan Eovaldi may have been in the middle of a shutout, but Yankees manager Joe Girardi is going to his Big 3 relievers every chance he gets. So with Eovaldi having thrown 100 pitches, Girardi has taken the ball from Eovaldi and handed it to Dellin Betances, who presumably will pass it to Andrew Miller and then Aroldis Chapman. The Yankees lead the Blue Jays, 2-0, with one out in the seventh.
