Alex Rodriguez avoided injuries all of last year. When he returned after his PED suspension, he declared that the year off was a blessing in disguise for his body. This year, he missed two games with an oblique injury and now is on the DL with a hamstring strain. At 40, with two hip surgeries and PED use under his belt, he already has been more unlucky than last season.

He hurt the hamstring running to first base on Tuesday. In his place, the Yankees are calling up reliever James Pazos. Rodriguez is in the second to last season of his 10-year, $275 million contract. He is being paid $21 million this year and next.
