He said Mo Wilkerson's contract won't preclude them from signing Sheldon Richardson, who is signed through 2017. Maccagnan praised Geno Smith, all but assuring him a spot on the 53. He said they're open to keeping four quarterbacks.

Amar'e Stoudemire will discuss ending his NBA career and the next chapter in his life at a press conference on Monday at Madison Square Garden. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Stoudemire works for the Knicks in some capacity. Stoudemire had a great relationship with Knicks owner James Dolan.

A federal judge has denied Derrick Rose's motion to have the civil sexual assault case against him dismissed, and the trial is scheduled to start Oct. 4 in Los Angeles, presumably in the middle of Rose's first training camp with the New York Knicks.
