David Wilson to have neck surgery

The New York Giants still don't know whether they can expect to have running back David Wilson back on the field in 2014, but at least they now have a plan to help move them in that direction.

Giants GM Jerry Reese said in an interview with WFAN radio in New York on Thursday that Wilson would undergo surgery this offseason to repair the herniated disk in his neck. Wilson's surgery has been scheduled for Jan. 16.
