Geno Smith receives apology

New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith received an apology Thursday from Virgin America airline, six days after a dispute at Los Angeles International Airport.

The airline and Smith released statements through the Jets. Neither party provided any details as to what actually happened on the Los Angeles-to-Fort Lauderdale flight. Smith exited before takeoff.
