Eli, Giants named as part of lawsuit

The New York Giants and Eli Manning have been named in a civil suit that claims the veteran quarterback had team staff create fake "game used" gear to be sold to collectors so that he could hold onto the originals.

The helmet on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame that was supposedly worn by Manning in the Giants' victory over New England in Super Bowl XLII is one of dozens of fakes, according to the suit. That lawsuit was filed by Eric Inselberg, a New Jersey collector and dealer, ...
