Derick Brassard gets 5-year deal

The New York Rangers avoided arbitration with Derick Brassard by agreeing to terms with the restricted free-agent center, the team announced Sunday.

Brassard will receive a five-year contract, his agent, Allan Walsh, said on Twitter.

Interesting last couple of hours, I can confirm that Derick Brassard has agreed to terms on a 5 year contract.
