Vanquishing Tar Heels on Saturday would put Scarlet Knights in national spotlight

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Saturday afternoon, Rutgers has an opportunity to enter the national conversation.

The Scarlet Knights play their first big game of the season, versus North Carolina at Rutgers Stadium at 3:30 p.m. (airing on ESPNU). The Tar Heels were ranked No. 18 in the country in the preseason. They've lost two close games to open up the season -- versus LSU and Georgia Tech, both by 30-24 scores -- but North Carolina is still very talented and a formidable opponent.
