Mets fire clubbie Charlie Samuels

NEW YORK -- Longtime New York Mets clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels has been fired by the organization, it announced Friday.

Samuels is part of an NYPD gambling investigation headed by Queens District Attorney Richard Brown's office, a law enforcement source has told ESPNNewYork.com.
