FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- If it looks like a collapse, and smells like a collapse, it's probably a collapse.

This is what the New York Jets have become. With three games remaining in a season that once gleamed with possibilities, they look and sound like a beaten team.

The coach called out his quarterback. The quarterback openly wondered if the coach doubts him. The offense can't score. The offensive coordinator got defensive. The defense chafed when the coach got in its face.
