Toomer: Eli Manning can right the ship

QB threw way too many picks, but remember: He had patchwork corps of wideouts

NEW YORK -- Amani Toomer watched Eli Manning this season and didn't see his old New York Giants quarterback taking a step forward with his progress.

Manning threw for 4,002 yards and 31 touchdowns but had a league-high 25 interceptions, with some of them going off the hands of his own receivers.
