Giants sign wideout Michael Clayton

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As expected, the New York Giants placed Domenik Hixon on injured reserve Friday and moved to shore up the receiving corps by signing veteran Michael Clayton.

Hixon tore his right ACL for the second consecutive year on Monday night against St. Louis, and will miss the rest of the season.
