Mike DeVito out with knee sprain

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets will begin their December playoff chase without defensive end Mike DeVito, who sprained his left knee in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Buffalo Bills.

DeVito, one of their top run stuffers, injured his MCL and won't play Sunday against the Washington Redskins, coach Rex Ryan said Monday. The Jets' coach didn't give a prognosis, but a sprained MCL usually is a two- to three-week injury.
