New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams missed Wednesday night's 89-70 loss in Boston with sore ribs.
Also out for the game was Celtics star Ray Allen, who's sidelined with a cold. Keyon Dooling started in his place.
"He's human, he bleeds," quipped Celtics coach Doc Rivers. The 36-year-old Allen is off to another hot start this season, averaging 20 points per game while shooting 56.5 percent from the floor overall and 61.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
