Nets' Mehmet Okur, Damion James out

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Nets center Mehmet Okur and small forward Damion James missed Saturday night's 101-90 loss against the Miami Heat.

Okur is day to day with back spasms, Avery Johnson said, but the Nets coach doesn't expect to have his veteran center back until sometime on the team's West Coast road trip, which begins on Jan. 11 in Denver. Okur's back, which has been a problem for him before, gave him problems on Friday night in Toronto and forced him to leave the game ...
