Henrik Tallinder out 6-8 weeks

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils defenseman Henrik Tallinder has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lower left leg -- known medically as "acute thrombophlebitis" -- and will be out six to eight weeks, general manager Lou Lamoriello announced Thursday night.

The Devils do not know how the injury occurred. An MRI taken Thursday afternoon revealed the clot.
