Curtis Granderson to have MRI

TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday night's Yankees-Blue Jays spring training game because of right elbow soreness.

"We'll do a precautionary MRI tomorrow to make sure it's nothing significant," said Yankees general manager Brian Cashman. "We don't believe it is."

The 31-year-old two-time All-Star is coming off the finest season of his career, posting career highs of 41 home runs and 119 RBIs in 2011.
