LIU names Jack Perri coach

NEW YORK -- LIU Brooklyn has promoted assistant Jack Perri to replace Jim Ferry as head men's basketball coach.

Ferry, who led the Blackbirds to the NCAA tournament the past two seasons, left Tuesday for Duquesne.

Perri was on the staff at LIU for seven seasons, the last five as associate head coach.
