Ruben Tejada (quad) lands on DL

PHILADELPHIA -- New York Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada landed face first in the infield dirt Sunday, after suffering a leg injury while trying to beat out a bunt in the fourth inning of the series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

A day later Tejada landed on the disabled list.

Tejada, who underwent an MRI on Sunday afternoon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, was diagnosed with a strained right quadriceps.
