Source: Marian Gaborik out 6 months

New York Rangers sniper Marian Gaborik will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, the team said in a news release Friday.

A source close to Gaborik said the surgery for the injury -- suffered in Game 3 or 4 of the first round of the playoffs against Ottawa -- would sideline him for up to six months.

Gaborik will have the procedure at the NYU Langone Medical Center's Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan, the Rangers said. It will be performed ...
