Rex Ryan done making guarantees

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan made one final guarantee -- his days of making guarantees are finished.

"I guarantee that I won't give any guarantees," Ryan said Friday. "I'm out of that business. Again, we've gone over that, it never helped us."

Ryan guaranteed that the Jets would win the Super Bowl last season, but it backfired -- badly. His team went 8-8 and missed the playoffs following back-to-back berths in the AFC Championship Game.
