New deal for MSG, Big East tourney

NEW YORK -- The Big East Tournament isn't going anywhere.

New league commissioner Mike Aresco announced that the conference and Madison Square Garden have reached a new multiyear agreement to keep the Big East men's basketball tournament at MSG.

The announcement was made Wednesday at the conference's annual men's basketball media day at the New York Athletic Club.

Their current deal ran through 2016. There's no official word on the length of the extension.
