Syracuse to retire Melo's number

Carmelo Anthony will have his college jersey retired at the Carrier Dome in February, Syracuse confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

Anthony, who led Syracuse to the 2003 national championship as a freshman, will be honored at halftime during one of the Orange's four home games next month. The specific date will be officially announced next week.
