Rick Nash out vs. Canadiens

NEW YORK -- New York Rangers winger Rick Nash missed Tuesday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens, a 3-1 loss.

Nash, acquired in a blockbuster trade over the summer, was questionable before Sunday's game with an undisclosed injury/illness but ended up taking warm-ups and played 22:33 against the Washington Capitals.

Asked in his pregame news conference Tuesday if the team could provide an update on Nash, coach John Tortorella said:

"No. He's out."
