Travis d'Arnaud breaks foot

DENVER -- Travis d'Arnaud, the highly regarded catching prospect obtained from the Toronto Blue Jays in the December trade for knuckleballer R.A. Dickey, suffered a broken left foot while playing for Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

D'Arnaud suffered a nondisplaced fracture of the first metatarsal while attempting to catch a foul ball, New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said.
