David Wright strains hamstring

NEW YORK -- Mets third baseman David Wright suffered a right hamstring strain in Friday night's 4-2 win in 11 innings over the Royals.

Wright will undergo an MRI on Saturday, and will meet with the media afterward. While Wright has not been placed on the disabled list, Triple-A Las Vegas utility player Mike Baxter is headed to New York, according to the team's Twitter account.

Mets manager Terry Collins doesn't expect a favorable prognosis.
