X-rays negative for Victor Cruz, Baas

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Victor Cruz and David Baas, two key New York Giants starters, were both injured during the opening drive of Sunday night's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Cruz, the Giants' Pro Bowl wide receiver, was diagnosed with a bruised heel. Baas, their starting center, suffered a sprained left MCL. X-rays were negative on both players, who will continue to undergo tests on Monday.
