Mike Piazza added to Mets' HOF

NEW YORK -- Mike Piazza became the 27th inductee into the New York Mets' Hall of Fame before the team's season finale against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field on Sunday. 

Former teammate John Franco and Mets great Dwight Gooden were among those who participated in the ceremony, and David Wright caught the ceremonial first pitch from the guest of honor.

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, meanwhile, declared Sunday "Mike Piazza Day."
