Eli Manning had his third 400-yard passing game and second in a row. He also threw for two TDs. He did have a costly interception off a tipped screen pass, but Manning engineered scoring drives of 80 and 58 yards in 2:28 to erase a 34-22 deficit. Hakeem Nicks destroyed the Cowboys with seven receptions for 154 yards. Manning wasn't sacked.
This grade is not an A only because Ahmad Bradshaw violated team rules and was benched for the first half. But it was vintage Brandon Jacobs, who recorded the team's second 100-yard rushing game of the season with 101 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. He punished the Cowboys, breaking tackles and carrying defenders for yardage.
The Giants knocked out DeMarco Murray with a broken ankle, but Felix Jones rushed for 81 yards in the first half in relief. The Giants did hold Jones to 25 yards in the second half, but Dallas only ran the ball nine times after halftime. When Dallas needed to preserve a 34-29 lead and milk the clock, Jones gained just 5 yards on two carries as the Giants got a three-and-out.
The Giants' secondary was a mess, as Tony Romo completed 21 of 31 for 321 yards and four TDs. Prince Amukamara gave up a 74-yard reception and Antrel Rolle and Corey Webster allowed Dez Bryant to stroll in for a wide-open 50-yard TD catch all in a matter of minutes early in the fourth quarter. Jason Pierre-Paul's monster game -- a safety, two sacks, a forced fumble and eight tackles -- is the only reason this grade isn't an F.
Jason Pierre-Paul helped save the season with his block on Dan Bailey's potential OT-forcing field goal. While the Giants didn't get much out of their return game, they held the dangerous Dez Bryant in check for one punt return for 10 yards. Remember, Bryant had a 93-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Giants here last year.
Tom Coughlin sent a message to his team that he won't tolerate any mess by benching Ahmad Bradshaw for the first half for violating team rules. Coughlin also timed his timeout to ice kicker Dan Bailey at the end perfectly, which allowed Jason Pierre-Paul a second chance to block the field goal. The defense still has serious issues in coverage.
