8. Dickey Wins NL Cy Young Award

Tom Seaver and Dwight Gooden were the only two Mets to win pitching's highest honor -- until 2012, when R.A. Dickey became arguably the most unlikely winner ever. The 38-year-old knuckler, picked up off the scrap heap in 2010, went 20-6 with a 2.73 ERA.
