Sweet Lou, who was hired and subsequently fired twice by "The Boss" George Steinbrenner, helmed the Bombers in 1986 and 1987 and for 93 games in 1988. The former Yankees outfielder would go on to bigger and better things -- winning the World Series as Reds skipper in 1990 and leading Seattle to an MLB-record-tying 116 victories in 2001. -- Matt Marrone
