April 9, 2013 -- Melo's 36 points fuel the Knicks to the franchise's first Atlantic Division crown since the glory days of Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Harper and Mason. Calling it a "long overdue" prize for the franchise, coach Mike Woodson can't help but highlight the contributions of his star forward, who sealed the deal with a 21-point third quarter: "I just think Melo, he's been on a nice run and I mean it's nice to see because and I know what he's thinking. He was thinking winning that division tonight and he wasn't going to leave any doubt in anybody's mind that we earned the rights to win the division tonight."
