Over the next two days the Cowboys will have their offense and defense work on separate fields so players can get a accustomed football again before the pads come on. Here's Jason Garrett: "Well I believe this from the bottom of my heart: football is as safe as it's ever been. And our league has done an amazing job putting safety first and there's so many different things they've done to that end. Obviously rules changes, equipment changes and just how we operate on a day to day basis. I think they've made our game better. One of the things that's happened is we practice less. We don't practice as much in the gear that we play the games in as we used to. But at the end of the day this is how we do it and we have to make it, we have to make the best of it and help take full advantage of this opportunity that we do in fact have. That's really our approach to it. We don't think oftentimes about the good old days. That really doesn't do anybody any good. We focus on what the rules are now and we create the best environment for our players and our team."
