In six quarters of Super Bowl play, Carolina has led for all of 4:02 of game clock. That stretch came in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XXXVIII, in which they briefly led New England, 22-21, only to lose 32-29.

Cam Newton stood tall in the pocket to throw that rocket to Ted Ginn Jr. The kind of play those two have made all season.

Termino el show de medio tiempo con Coldplay, del que esperaba más pero al menos fue colorido. A minutos de comenzar al menos los últimos 30 minutos de temporada 2015. Por lo pronto los Broncos aventajan 13-7 a los Panthers

In his last 8 quarters, Demaryius Thomas has just 4 receptions for 24 yards. He has 2 drops during that span (both today). #SB50

Panthers have to find a way to get the ball to tight end Greg Olsen in the second half. The team's leading receiver has three catches but for only 34 yards.

Norman and Co. shut down Denver WRs

The Broncos receivers were quiet in the first half as the unit combined for 5 catches for 50 yards. Demaryius Thomas, the team's top WR, has 1 catch for 8 yards with Josh Norman lining up on him for 21 of 29 snaps.

Carolina opens as 3.5-point 2nd-half favorite over Denver at some Vegas sports books and as high 4.5. In early betting. it looks like more bettors preferring Carolina as -4.5 is more common. 2nd half over/under opened between 21.5 and 23 and the consensus has moved toward 23.

Teams leading by at least six points at halftime are 30-3 in Super Bowl history. The last team to overcome a six-point halftime deficit to win a Super Bowl were the 1993 Dallas Cowboys (XXVIII). They trailed 13-6 at halftime and went on to beat the Bills 30-13.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

The Panthers wide receivers can't get enough separation versus the Broncos secondary. Carolina has to use more bunch and stack looks in the second half to generate some open targets for Cam Newton.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware are once again taking over on the edge. Too much speed for the Panthers in pass protection. Carolina has to win on early down and distance situations in the second half. Can't get stuck in third and long versus the Denver edge rushers.
