The Redskins still aren't finished with their physicals but coach Jay Gruden said he does not expect guard Shawn Lauvao to be ready for the start of camp. Gruden said he hopes Lauvao returns by the end of training camp. Lauvao missed the last 13 games in 2015 with a foot injury and endured multiple surgeries on both feet since October.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said they want to keep former linebacker Trent Murphy as a defensive end. Murphy moved there from outside linebacker in the offseason but the Redskins need help there with the loss of Junior Galette. However, Murphy gained at least 20 pounds this offseason and would need to lose most of it to go back full time. That would be asking quite a bit.
