Week 5: Injury updates/inactives around the NFL

Here's a rundown of some late-breaking news before today's games.

Browns at Steelers: Running back William Green starts for the Browns. Duce Staley starts at running back for Pittsburgh.

Vikings at Texans: Linebackers Chris Claiborne and E.J. Henderson are out for Minnesota. Dontarrious Thomas is playing the middle. Nat Dorsey starts at right tackle. Houston is down two safeties, Eric Brown and Glenn Earl. Domanick Davis is expected to start at running back.

Raiders at Colts: No big surprises for the Raiders. Colts cornerback Donald Strickland has been placed on injured reserve. Jason David plays opposite of cornerback Nick Harper. Kicker Mike Vanderjagt and tight end Marcus Pollard are out.

Giants at Cowboys: Nothing major for the Giants and Cowboys.

Dolphins at Patriots: No surprises for the Dolphins. Wide receivers Troy Brown, Bethel Johnson and Deion Branch are out for the Patriots. David Patten and David Givens start at receiver. Cornerback Tyrone Poole is out.

Buccaneers at Saints: Running back Deuce McAllister will start for the Saints. Brad Johnson is the third quarterback for the Bucs. Todd Steussie starts at right tackle.

Lions at Falcons: Cornerbacks Dre' Bly and Andre' Goodman are still out for the Lions. Cornerbacks DeAngelo Hall and Jason Webster are out for the Falcons.

Bills at Jets: No surprises in Buffalo. New York's third cornerback, Derrick Strait, is inactive.

Jaguars at Chargers: The Jags are down two tight ends: George Wrighster and Kyle Brady. Bobby McCray starts for Lionel Barnes. Defensive ends DeQuincy Scott and Adrian Dingle are out. Jacques Cesaire and Igor Olshansky. Kassim Osgood starts at wide receiver for Eric Parker.

Rams at Seahawks: Kevin Garrett is scratched, so Jerametrius Butler and DeJuan Groce start at cornerback. Rich Coady starts for Adam Archuleta, who is active. Nothing big for the Seahawks.

Panthers at Broncos: Running back Stephen Davis is out, Brentson Buckner is out. Quentin Griffin is out and will be replaced by Reuben Droughns.

Cardinals at 49ers: Mike Rumph is out and will be replaced with Shawntae Spencer for the 49ers. Defensive back Duane Starks is out and will be replaced with Renaldo Hill for the Cardinals.
