Jags release guard Will Rackley

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Guard Will Rackley was among six players cut by the Jaguars on Monday, the latest move in which the team has distanced itself from the regime of previous general manager Gene Smith.

Only seven of the 26 players Smith drafted from 2009 to 2012 remain on the roster, including two of the team's first-round picks. One of those is receiver Justin Blackmon, who is serving an indefinite suspension after his third violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
