Bucs to pay injured Carl Nicks $3M

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently agreed to an injury settlement as part of their release of guard Carl Nicks, signed during the 2012 offseason.

As part of the mutual agreement, the team has agreed to pay Nicks $3 million, a league source told ESPN.

That means Nicks' cap hit for 2014 will check in at about $5.357 million for 2014, while the team now has $13.71 million in cap space, per the NFLPA's database.
