Dolphins' Moore out for year; Dixon has ankle surgery

The news was once again dire for the Miami Dolphins on Monday as the team, unfortunately, continued to put its worst foot, or, more accurately, feet forward.

ESPN.com confirmed Monday evening that rookie linebacker Eddie Moore, a second-round selection and the Dolphins' highest choice in the 2003 draft, will miss the entire season after surgery to repair a left foot injury suffered in last Friday night's preseason game.
