Wilson follows father into NFL

Detroit Lions: Cornerback Stanley Wilson, a third-round choice, has signed a three-year, $1.49 million contract.

The former Stanford standout, who is the son of the onetime Bengals fullback of the same name, is the third of the Lions' six picks in the 2005 draft to reach a contract agreement.

Wilson received a $568,050 signing bonus and the standard minimum base salaries of $230,000 (in 2005), $310,000 (2006) and $385,000 (2007). His cap charge for 2005 will be $419,350. Wilson was ...
