Seattle inks defensive tackle Terrill to contract extension

Four-year veteran defensive tackle Craig Terrill, a key component in the Seattle Seahawks' four-player interior rotation, has signed a three-year contract that will keep him off the unrestricted free agent market.

The deal, which runs through the 2010 season, is worth about $5 million. It includes base salaries of $900,000 (for 2008), $1.15 million (2009) and $1.15 million (2010).

Without the extension, Terrill would have been eligible for unrestricted free agency in the spring.
