Broncos' Ellis: Apologies ring hollow

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos president Joe Ellis says apologies from team executives in the wake of two DUI charges "ring hollow" when compared to their alleged crimes.

In June, Broncos brass learned that Tom Heckert, the former Cleveland Browns general manager, had been charged with drunken driving in nearby Parker just a month after being hired as Denver's director of pro personnel.
