Jairus Byrd remains unsigned
The Buffalo Bills' Jairus Byrd, the only franchised player to not yet sign his tender, is demanding to be the NFL's highest-paid free safety, WGRZ-TV in Buffalo is reporting.
Monday's deadline for franchised players to agree to long-term contracts passed at 4 p.m. ET. Despite the deadline, the Bills and Byrd had no contract talks scheduled for Monday, a source close to the talks told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
