Cardinals cut kicker Dan Carpenter

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals have released kicker Dan Carpenter, four days after signing him to compete with Jay Feely.

Carpenter attempted one field goal, a 26-yarder that was blocked Saturday night in the Cardinals' 24-7 exhibition loss to the San Diego Chargers.
