Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, as executive vice president of football operations, can take credit for building the Denver Broncos. However, he can't take credit for throwing seven touchdown passes in his club's 49-27 season-opening victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
