Reggie Bush avoids serious injury

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz said he doesn't believe running back Reggie Bush has a serious knee injury.

Bush, who was scheduled to undergo an MRI after injuring his knee Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, could be available to play in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins, a source familiar with the injury told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Schwartz acknowledged that Bush will be sore but said that the results of Monday's tests were "encouraging."
