Jackie Battle surprised to be fined

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans running back Jackie Battle on Friday became the first NFL player fined under a new rule aimed at eliminating collisions when a player hits with the crown of his helmet.

The play in question was a hit he delivered to Houston safety Danieal Manning in the Titans' overtime loss to the Texans. The amount of the fine wasn't immediately known.
