Alex Carrington out for season

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Alex Carrington will miss the rest of the season after tearing a quadriceps tendon during Sunday's loss to the New York Jets, coach Doug Marrone said Monday.

Carrington, who was scheduled to undergo surgery Monday, started the Bills' first three games. Veteran defensive lineman Alan Branch is expected to replace Carrington, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve.
