Seahawks won't trade for Jared Allen
After making an 11th-hour push to trade for Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen before Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline, the Seattle Seahawks were not expected to agree to a deal, multiple sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Seahawks have only $2.6 million in salary-cap space, which complicated any ideas of acquiring Allen, who is owed $7.5 million for the rest of the season.
